Training takes extra setup.
Before practice starts, reels, body cords, floor cables, and scoring machines often need to be connected, checked, and reset. For coaches and clubs, that setup time adds up every day.
Conventional wired scoring systems are proven and reliable — but daily training and club expansion need something faster to set up.

Trial classes, open days, school programs, and events need quick setup. Conventional wired systems often depend on fixed equipment and prepared spaces before the first touch can be shown.
A full wired scoring setup often requires multiple pieces of hardware for each training position. When a club wants more usable scoring lanes, equipment cost becomes the biggest barrier.
Designed for demonstrations, daily training, and club expansion, Sigurd keeps the scoring workflow simple without requiring a conventional wired setup.
Each fencer connects one Sigurd device to their gear with a body cord. No floor reels or fixed piste wiring are required for training setup.
Pair the devices with the Sigurd Fencing App in seconds. Use a phone or iPad as the scoring display and control center for training.
Sigurd applies weapon-specific scoring logic for foil, épée, and sabre training, turning valid touches into clear scores on phone or iPad.

Sigurd Fencing takes its name from Sigurd, also known as Siegfried, the legendary hero from Norse and Germanic mythology. Sigurd is best known as a dragon slayer, a figure associated with courage, strength, precision, and heroic determination. In Norse tradition, he defeats the dragon Fafnir, making him a powerful symbol of bravery and victory.
We chose the name Sigurd because fencing shares the same spirit: it is a sport of courage, speed, judgment, precision, and honor. Fencing is not only about physical movement; it is about making the right decision in a fraction of a second. That spirit closely matches the image of Sigurd facing the dragon with focus and determination.
Fencing clearly defines the world we serve. Sigurd Fencing focuses on smart hardware for fencing training and scoring, especially wireless judging and hit-detection systems. According to the product materials, the wireless judging device can be used for épée, foil, and sabre, connects to a mobile app via Bluetooth, and displays scoring results in the app. The technical design also describes Bluetooth transmission of hit events, time synchronization, and real-time notification to the referee's mobile app.
In short, Sigurd Fencing means:
Named after a hero, built for the future of fencing.
It stands for courage, precision, technology, and victory — bringing traditional fencing into a smarter, lighter, and more modern training experience.
